Job Posting – Photographer/Sales Rep for Western Fair Raceway

Part-Time October 2009 – May 2010

Iron Horse Photo Inc. is hiring a photographer/sales rep for race nights at Western Fair Raceway in London, ON. This is a part-time position, starting in October 2009 and concluding in May 2010.

Candidates must be available to work the following shifts:
- Mondays from 2:30pm – 7:30pm
- Fridays from 6:00pm – 11pm (Additional shifts on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday evenings may become available from time to time.)

Candidates must live in the London area and have reliable transportation.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• some knowledge of digital SLR photography (training provided)
• some knowledge of Adobe Photoshop (training provided)
• knowledge of basic internet/email applications
• basic knowledge of MS Excel & Word
• knowledge of harness horse racing an asset, but not necessary (training provided)

Candidates must be/possess:

- friendly/approachable/people-person
- punctual/attention to detail
- comfortable working without supervision/reliable, trustworthy, accountable
- handle/store equipment & consumables with respect & care
- able to handle cash/make change
- superior problem-solving skills

Duties/Responsibilities:

- shoot races (usually 12-13/night)
- manage and output photo orders same night, between races
- manage and produce previous days’ DVD orders before races
- organize, store and backup digital photo files
- maintain accurate sales reports
- safe handling of equipment & consumables
- monitor consumables inventory and equipment; advise of need for more inventory or repairs
